Hope you are well.
This is regarding the issue where BTR PO 4TZJJ7KM came through with GTIN as the external ID for ASIN B0FQPKHQKT, instead of the EAN that was set up. I am working on this ticket.
I contacted Amazon, and they informed me that the issue has been corrected, and going forward this ASIN will have the correct external ID on POs. However, I have asked them to investigate why the incorrect ID appeared on PO 4TZJJ7KM, even though the correct ID was present in the template. It’s important to clarify what exactly is showing in their PO system, as there is no guarantee this won’t happen again.

Thanks for the update.
To confirm – should the external ID on the PO for this product (being sold to Amazon by the case of 12, but Amazon selling in individual units) be
GTIN with the outer case barcode? or
EAN with inner unit barcode?
The BTR order had GTIN but the single unit barcode:
Suraj advised it should be the GTIN to match the case ordering, however from your feedback it should be the EAN?
Should I reject the BTR order and then we raise again to see if the barcode is now coming through correctly?

Good morning.
Yesterday, Suraj asked me to work on this ticket and informed me that it looks like this product has been ordered with incorrect barcode on the PO.
The rule is that when you sell both cases and individual units, each ASIN or SKU must have a unique external ID. For example, if you want to sell both eaches and cases, you could use the GTIN number for the case and the UPC code for the each. In this case, this product B0FQPKHQKT is sold as eaches only or as individual units to customer. Hence, the only external ID that should be on the PO is the inner unit barcode. Amazon informed me that the external ID in their system was GTIN for this ASIN but they have now changed to EAN and going forward, you should receive orders with EAN.
You can reject this BTR PO.

Thanks for explaining - I have rejected the BTR PO.
Should I ask Charlie to raise BTR again as the matter should be resolved, or would it be best to wait until we understand what is causing the barcode issues with the other ASINs?

I messaged you on Slack about the other ASINs. Amazon informed me that today’s orders have incorrect barcodes due to a technical glitch on their end. They are now updating the correct ordering IDs in their system, but they have asked you to accept today’s POs. Amazon informed that there won’t be any issue if you accept today’s POs and process them. All ASINs ordered today have case size as 1, so they are treated the same way. They are going to update the GTINs for these ASINs again so that Amazon’s ordering system uses GTINs on POs from the next time.
This ASIN : B0FQPKHQKT has case size 12, so it is different. Amazon is yet to update the barcode for this ASIN. It should be done today. I will let you know shortly.
